Question 1:
In what way does the person of Jesus Christ underline the significance of each discipline?
1.Theology
Colossians 2; 9 says “For in Him dwells the fullness of the godhead bodily, and you are complete in Him who is the head of all principality and power.”
Jesus is the godhead. He is the head and He is in charge of all things.
2.Philosophy
John 1; 1 says, “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.”
Jesus is the word. Only God’s word is right, it is wiser than any man’s wisdom.
3.Ethics
John 3; 19-20 says, “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world and men loved the darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hats the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.”
Jesus is the light.
4.Biology
John 1; 4 says, “In him was life, and the life was the light of man.”
Jesus is the life. All that is living is from God because God created all things.
5.Psychology
Titus 2; 13 says, “Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and savior Jesus Christ.”
Jesus is our savior.
6.Sociology
Isaiah 9; 3 says, “Of the increase of His government and peace, there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward and even forever, hosts will perform this.”
Jesus is the son.
7.Law
Genesis 49; 10 says, “The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes, and to him shall be the obedience of the people.”
Jesus is the lawgiver. Laws should be made based on God’s word, and they should be obeyed by the people.
8.Politics.
Luke 1; 33 says, “And he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”
Jesus is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
9.Economics.
Psalm 24; 1 says, “The earth is the Lords, and all its fullness, the world therein and those who dwell therein.”
Jesus is the owner and creator of the world. The earth is the Lords so we should take care of it and keep it beautiful.
Question 2:
“According to 2nd Corinthians 10; 4-5, once we understand the world, what are we to do?”
2nd Corinthians 10;4-5, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.”
We are to use God’s word as a weapon against the lies of the world.
