DaVinci Code or the Bible Code--Discover the Truth

Discover "The Jesus Code." Read about the code in Matthew 13:13. Then discover the truth about "The Jesus Code," at http://www.eaglesnesthome.com/where.htm

Does the "The DaVinci Code" have the truth?

Listen to a message from Tom Short from Great Commission Association, GCA, refuting the implied claims of Dan Brown's book "The DaVinci Code."

His message can be heard and downloaded free of charge:

Christian Homeschool to College Groups on Yahoo

Graduation time looms large on the horizon; What do homeschoolers do after high school? I had to bend my unwritten rule of only posting once a week, in order to include information on Yahoo groups about homeschool to college. Why reinvent the wheel? Network, and get your questions answered.

Please note that I am not in control of any of these lists, so I can't approve or endorse them; as always, I count on your wisdom and discernment. Check out these lists, from Yahoo, and let me know what you think:

This list is for conservative parents who are homeschooling a high school student and looking ahead to college. Conservative religious viewpoints (including traditional Christian, traditional Catholic, and traditional Jewish) are respected as the dominant viewpoint. The list is not for preaching or primarily religious content, but to serve this population of parents in having a peer group with whom they can give and receive advice about high school curricula, college applications, financial aid, ...(more)

This list is for homeschool parents who are on the conservative homeschool to college list, who are homeschooling college-bound teens and who want to buy or sell used books, resources and curricula. If you have books and resources you want to sell, you may sell it here, or join this list to be able to purchase used resources. Those with homeschool businesses who have items to promote may do so once per quarter, and may post one ad in the "file section" to be available permanently. Individuals ...(more)

You do not have to be a homeschooler, but you do have to be family/individual who has childrens stuff to sell, or even college books. Small home businesses can post here, not big businesses. A place to come and sell, trade, and buy used homeschool materials. There will be no spamming or flaming. All homeschool related materials are welcome. So are other items as long as you follow the guidelines above. For example: I sometimes read techno thrillers, mysteries, romance, or whatever. Those items ...(more)

History, Science, Jefferson and Global Warming

As the traditional school year draws to a close, we're still discovering that learning can take place all the time--even for grown-ups! It is so true what the Bible says--there is nothing new under the sun. Science, history, and debates on current events continually repeat themselves.

Fox news ran an unusual special on global warming this week. I'd like to share it with you. I thought I was fairly up on History (one of my favorite subjects--I read it just for fun!) However, I didn't know that Jefferson, in the time of the American Revolution, was something of a climatologist and meteorologist, and studied global warming until the end of his life. He left his notes, and I would imagine they make interesting reading.

Check out the article, about the global warming special, at http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,195877,00.html. It is enlightening to see both sides of scientific debates, and discuss them as a family. Let me know what you think!
